A$12000000 Arts Queensland - Art and Place

ART and PLACE is a new initiative by Arts Queensland to inject $12 million into public art over the next three years. The funding seeks to see the development of significant public art by Queensland local government councils, not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations, arts and cultural festivals, and private developers. An Arts QLD curatorial panel will assess applications and ensure timely delivery of high quality projects.Applications will be assessed on the following criteria, artistic merit, physical space and site, locality and identity, soundness and durability, media and maintenance, public safety and access, sound business case.Expressions of interest close on 31 March 2010.

A$1238000 Arts Victoria - Arts Development Fund

This funding program supports Victoria's professional artists and independent small to medium arts organizations in the creative development and presentation of new work across all art forms. The funding categories are Creation, Presentation and Programming.
Creation provides funding from $4000 to $20,000 for the creation of new work.
Presentation provides funding from $5000 to $30,000 for the initial public presentation of a new Victorian work.
Programming provides funding from $5,000 to $30,000, in $500 increments.

A$700000 Regional Arts Queensland - Major Community Project Fund

There is a community projects fund for projects between $5000 and $30,000 generally for short-term projects and those up to two years.
The Regional Partnerships Projects is for funding of up to $30,000. Eligible projects will identify significant partnerships with other sectors for this funding. There are two funding rounds. One closes March 15th 2010 and the other closes August 13th 2010.

A$664585 Arts Victoria - Community Partnerships

This funding program enables collaborations involving professional artists, arts companies with Victorian communities.
There are two funding categories, New Work and Residencies.
Funding for New Work is between $5,000 and $40,000 and proposals must demonstrate a collaborative relationship between the artists and a defined community group.
Funding for Residencies is between $15,000 and $60,000 and provides funding for an artist, group of artists or arts company, to undertake residencies in partnership with a community body. There are two funding rounds per year closing on March 1st and August 15th.

A$400000 Arts NT - Regional Arts Fund - Remote Arts Partnerships

Remote arts partnerships funding is designed to support long term and sustainable relationships between artists and communities in remote regions of the NT.

Applicants can request up to 50% of the total expenses to a maximum of $20,000 a year for two years.

A$400000 Arts Victoria - Arts Programming Funding

This funding aims to support a diverse mix of innovative and professional arts programming in urban, regional and rural Victoria.
Funding varies from $5000 to $30,000 depending on the project.Funding will go to projects or programs that build on professional strengths,support quality programs,engage the audience and encourage participation and are well managed.

A$300000 Arts Victoria - International Export and Touring Fund

The Export and Touring fund is awarded to projects which contribute to the development of new and existing international markets for Victorian artists.Assistance is given towards international exhibitions and tours.
Grants vary from $3,500 to up to $40,000.
There are two funding rounds which close on March 15th and September 15th.

A$215000 Catalyst Community Arts Program

Community arts project funding. There are two funding rounds, one in March with a pool of $110,000 and one in September with a pool of $105,000. There are three categories. Category A is Innovate with grants in this category being limited to $2000 and a total of $30,000 available each round. Category B is Create with grants being between $2000 and $10,000 and a total of $75,000 available each round.Category C is Develop with $30,000 available in both the March and September rounds. Closing dates are March 30th and September 30th. Successful applicants are notified within 3 months of application.

A$200000 Arts Queensland - Gritty Places Partnership Program

The purpose of this funding is to help transform old council buildings into creative arts spaces. Local councils can apply for up to $50,000 over two years to develop a location.

A$200000 Arts NT - Public Art Grants

Open to individuals, organisations and groups. Various grants are available for the development of art that will be located in accessible public spaces.These range from development grants up to $6000, small works up to $10,000, medium works up to $20,000 and major works up to $150,000.
Supports the development and creation of art in public places.
Apply by March or October 15th each year.

A$160000 Arts Victoria - International Cultural Exchange Fund

The International Cultural Exchange fund strengthens and develops Victoria's international cultural relations in other countries. Total funding is around $160,000 and is split to fund various projects.

Funding is availabe for Cultural Exchange or Export and Touring.

A$156000 Chatswood Mall Sustainable Public Art Commission

Artists and sculptors are invited to submit Expressions of Interest to design, develop and install sculptural works in Chatswood Mall, as part of the refurbishment project due for completion in late 2010.

Three pieces of work will be selected for final completion.There is total budget of $150,000 and the selected artists will also receive $2000 each to prepare preliminary concept designs. The final sculptures are expected to be in place for at least 20 years.

Selected artists will be notified by June 2010.

A$150000 Country Arts WA - Arts Agencies

This funding is designed to assist WA arts and cultural agencies deliver arts programs in partnership with regional communities.Up to $150,000 is available over three years.

A$141000 Regional Arts Victoria - Projects Grants

Project Grants are designed for organisations and individuals. Up to $15,000 per project is available for professional artists. Project should have a public outcome in the community in which it is based.There are two funding rounds per year.Apply by March and August each year.

A$100000 Brisbane City Council Community Grants Program

This program provides funding to local non-profit community groups to improve and develop services in Brisbane. Grants are available for arts organisations. Funding amounts vary from $2000 to $50,000.

A$90000 State Library of Victoria Creative fellowships

State Library of Victoria Creative fellowships are open to all Australian residents working in any form of creative expression. This may be in art, music, writing etc.

The fellowships aim to promote the State Library of Victoria as a centre of creative activity while giving visiting fellows the time and space to create a body of work.

Creative Fellowships include grants and are awarded for periods of three, six and twelve months including:

$12,500 for three months
$25,000 for six months
$50,000 for twelve months

A$70000 Country Arts WA - Projects and Residencies

Projects and residencies funding is designed to involve professional artists working with communities to develop skills and produce artworks.
Applicants can apply for a maximum of $10,000 for first application.
Repeat applicants may apply for up to $20,000.
Applicants above the 26th parallel can apply for up to $15,000 for first application or $25,000 for repeat application.RAF will not fund the entire cost of the project.
The applicant must make a minimum 25% contribution.There are two funding rounds per year closing March 12 and August 12.

A$50000 Archibald Prize

Awarded annually to the best portrait, 'preferentially of some man or woman distinguished in Art, Letters, Science or Politics, painted by any artist in Australasia during the 12 months preceding the (closing) date ...' The winner receives $50,000.There is a finalists' exhibition tour around Australia.

A$45848 Regional Arts Tasmania - Small Grant Program

Funding of up to $5,000 is available for eligible projects. 2009 Small grant funding rounds close on 16 March and 17 August.
