Presented along the length of the Strand, on Townsville's beachfront, the festival is complemented by a&#xA0; program of events and workshops for the general public, guided tours and performances. First initiated by Perc Tucker Regional Gallery in 2001, this is the sixth incarnation of &lt;em&gt;Strand Ephemera&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;Artists are invited to submit proposals for sculptures and installations in any medium.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;A &lt;strong&gt;$10,000&lt;/strong&gt; prize will be awarded to the winning work at the official opening.&lt;br/&gt;A &lt;strong&gt;$2000 &lt;/strong&gt;people's choice prize will be awarded at the end of the exhibition.&lt;br/&gt;A&lt;strong&gt; $1000&lt;/strong&gt; artists fee will be paid to all selected finalists for installation of their work.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
