Details:
The Swell sculpture festival has a special focus on local talent and also attracts international artists. It is held on Currumbin beach, Queensland. Artists are encouraged to build large, durable works for the outdoor environment. Materials used to create the artworks include steel, glass, timber, copper, bronze and stone.$20,000 is allocated by Gold Coast City Council to acquire public art for their collection.
Satterley Property Group will acquire two works both of up to $20,000 and $10,000.
Other awards include the People’s and Kids’ Choice Awards, Emerging Artist Award, Environmental Awareness Award, Media Award and Artist Peer Award.
